Turquoise
Turquoise is a copper aluminum phosphate mineral with a hardness of 5 to 6. Its name means 'Turkish stone', because early trade routes brought it to Europe via Turkey. It has been used in amulets & jewelry in Europe/Asia for thousands of years & is important in Native American jewelry.
